Speech/Language Therapist

Job #1: (2008-2009)

Qualifications: Must possess a valid California clinical or rehabilitative services credential authorizing instruction in speech and language therapy or an out-of-state credential authorizing instruction in speech and language therapy. Alternate certification can be the following: a master’s degree in communication disorders, passed CBEST, and a valid license from the CA Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board

Major Duties and Responsibilities: To provide an individualized speech therapy program for students found to have disorders of articulation, hearing, voice, cleft palate, stuttering and language; to test and screen all students new to a school; and perform related duties.

Salary: Placement on the salary schedule commensurate with training and experience. Eligible to participate in district health, dental, and vision insurance benefits. Current salary schedule at full time: $43,986–$64,544* (*The maximum entry level, seven years experience, 60 semester units beyond BA degree).

Effective Date: School year 2008-09.
