Healthy Start Site Coordinator

Salary: $17.53 - $21.67 per hour, paid monthly. Classified salary schedule, range 37. Initial placement shall be determined according to training and experience; maximum salary placement will be at mid-range. This position is covered by employee selected insurance plan. Benefits include holidays, vacation and sick leave.

Assignment: Four and one-half (4.5) hours per day, nine months per year position available in the Healthy Start Program. Monday through Friday, hours to be determined.

Definition: Under general direction of the Healthy Start/ASES Programs director and overseen principally by the program supervisor, the site coordinator prioritizes and performs a variety of duties to manage daily implementation of the ASES program at a designated school site and is responsible for supervising Program leaders and assuring safety of students. The site coordinator works closely with ASES/A-OK management team, program partners, school personnel and families and assures that ASES/A-OK program policies and practices are followed and program goals are being achieved at the site.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred with teaching experience preferred, but consideration will be given to individuals who passed the CBEST and have at minimum two years, documented equivalent work experience, backed by recent, positive recommendations. Candidates must have a minimum two years experience supervising adults and serving in leadership role and two years recent experience working with elementary school age children in an academic and enrichment program. Must be fluent in English. Spanish skills preferred but not required.
