Parents Head Back To School

Tonight, Wednesday, September 23, 1998, parents of local high school students will have the opportunity to walk through their student’s daily schedule of classes and meet their student’s teachers. It’s Back To School Night at all high school campuses in the Santa Barbara High School District! With their student’s schedule in hand, parents have an allotted time to move from class to class. At each stop they meet their student’s teacher and go over the goals and expectations for that particular course.

Special meetings (example, GATE parents or bilingual parents) are conducted before the general meeting. The general meeting schedule is as follows: Dos Pueblos High School, 7:00 p.m., gymnasium; Santa Barbara High School, 6:45 p.m., auditorium; San Marcos High School, 7:00 p.m., auditorium. After the general meeting, parents follow the same schedule as their student, moving from class to class at 10-15 minute intervals, depending on the school.

Tomorrow evening, Thursday, September 24, 1998, parents of local junior high and middle school students will participate in Back To School Night. Following a schedule similar to the high schools, special meetings will be conducted prior to the general meeting at most schools.
