Power Restored to Adams Elementary School

Last night’s thunderstorm resulted in damage to a transformer that serves Adams Elementary School, 2701 Las Positas Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 (next to the Earl Warren Showgrounds). There was a loss of electrical power and telephone service to the school. Classroom instruction today was not affected as classrooms have exterior windows that provide natural light. Steps were taken very early this morning to address food service and other needs. The district office was prepared to relay messages to the school, as needed.

Prior to 9:30 a.m. this morning, service was restored and Adams Elementary School again has electrical power and telephone service.
