Dos Pueblos Teacher John Muir to Participate in a Reading of Tigers and Songbirds, a Book of Poetry

On Saturday, November 10, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Dos Pueblos High School social studies teacher John C. Muir, a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran of the Vietnam War, will join two other authors for a poetry reading at the Karpeles Manuscript Library, 21 W. Anapamu Street.

Tigers and Songbirds is Muir’s book of poetry. According to the author’s web site, Tigers and Songbirds is “A response to combat in time of war and to a lifetime of reclaiming the lost self.”

A book signing will follow the reading.
