“A Day Made Better” for a Harding Elementary School Teacher
Last month, in a morning school-wide assembly, Harding Elementary School second-grade teacher Karyn D’Alfonso was surprised with classroom supplies from Office Max as part of an October 7, 2007 “A Day Made Better” partnership with the Adopt-a-Classroom organization. The new joint initiative was conceived as a way to identify 1,000 teachers across the nation and provide supplies that they might otherwise purchase with out-of-pocket funds.
Office Max donated resources and supplies valued at more than $1,400 to the school on behalf of the teacher nominated by the school. Office Max donated additional funds to teachers at the school that were distributed through the Adopt-A-Classroom program.
