The C-SPAN Campaign 2008 Bus, a 45-foot long, 9-feet wide, 13-feet tall, 22-ton mobile multi-media demonstration center and television production unit, will be visiting Santa Barbara Junior High School and Santa Barbara High School this week. According to C-SPAN, “The Campaign 2008 Bus was designed to engage and excite voters about the highly competitive and historic 2008 presidential campaign.”
The bus will be at Santa Barbara Junior High School on Wednesday, January 30 at 9:00 am. It will be at Santa Barbara High School, parked in front of the J.R. Richards Gymnasium, on Thursday, January 31, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Tours of 10-12 students at a time will be conducted.
According to C-SPAN’s MySpace page and blog site the bus provides an inside view of the upcoming historic election to students who are interested in government and teachers who are motivated to share the value of civics.
