Dos Pueblos High School Wins Regional Robotics Competition
The 32-member Dos Pueblos High School Engineering Academy’s robotics team won the regional For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics Competition held in San Diego on March 6-8. There were 50 teams competing, including the previous world championship team, who lost to Dos Pueblos in the finals. There are 40 FIRST regional events held throughout the world, with a total of 1,500 teams competing.
With this regional win, the Dos Pueblos team is qualified to move on to the global level of competition. The winning team from each regional event will meet in Atlanta for the FIRST world championship in mid-April.
