La Cuesta Students Among this Weekend’s I Madonnari Artists
The Memorial Day three-day weekend in Santa Barbara means it is time for I Madonnari chalk drawings on the grounds of Mission Santa Barbara. On a 7’ x 7’ section of mission blacktop, about 15 Las Alturas and Community Day School students will work together in the “La Cuesta CHS” chalk festival space, recreating a Latin-inspired drawing that they selected. Viewers will be able to watch the image come to life by monitoring the La Cuesta CHS space at I Madonnari.
Student artists will be working under the direction of La Cuesta teachers Judith Raimondi, Debra Teton, and Janet Goode.
