Districts’ Board of Education to Pursue a Parcel Tax in November 2008
At the Tuesday, June 24, 2008, meeting of the board of education, the board decided to pursue a parcel tax for the Santa Barbara Elementary School District and a parcel tax for the Santa Barbara High School District. The board has not finalized a decision, but is looking at $25 per parcel per year per district for the next four years.
In order for the parcel tax to be on the November ballot, the board will be meeting to discuss specific areas to be included at the Friday, June 27, at 1:30 p.m. board meeting in the Board Room, Santa Barbara School Districts, 720 Santa Barbara Street, Santa Barbara.
