San Marcos High School Marching Band Wins 1A Division Sweepstakes at Simi Comp
The San Marcos High School Marching Band took 1A Division sweepstakes at the Saturday, October 25, at the Simi Valley High School Band Competition. Band Director Jason Nam reports that the San Marcos band won all caption awards in their division: high music, high general effect, and high visual, as well as earning the first place caption for auxiliary colorguard. The band is preparing for upcoming competitions in Oxnard and in Moorpark and wrapping up the season on December 6 at the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association championships.
