New leadership in the districts’ Special Education Department
At last night’s meeting of the Santa Barbara School Districts’ Board of Education, the board approved the superintendent’s selection of interim co-directors for special education: Alan Hilton and Ric Nargie.
Alan Hilton is a retired SELPA director and will be starting on January 20. Ric Nargie is a retired director of special education but will not be available until March. The workload has been carried by capable district staff.
