A message from Deputy Superintendent Eric D. Smith, Business Office
The California State Senate voted early this morning to approve a 17 month, $41 billion spending plan for the state of California ending a three month budget impasse.
While this budget is a substantial improvement over the governor’s original January proposal, it still provides for no cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and will result in a loss of revenue of $2.8 million to our districts.
We will be providing more details on how this budget affects our districts in the weeks ahead.
