La Colina Junior High Students Prepare for A Walk Through the Middle Ages

Students are preparing for the annual seventh grade Living History Exhibit: A Walk Through the Middle Ages at La Colina Junior High School. The outdoor living history exhibits are put on by La Colina’s GATE and honors social studies classes. The event will take place on Thursday, March 19 from 9am to noon in the school’s west parking lot.

Students’ research and creativity are demonstrated in booths that depict topics such as daily life of peasants and nobility, the influence of religion, growth of cities, food and farming, weaponry, and cultural influences of the period. Wearing clothing from the period, students share information on the topic of their respective booth.

More than 200 students will participate and close to 200 elementary students from La Colina’s feeder schools will attend as audience members. The public is invited.
