San Marcos High School’s Marquettes Win National Titles at the JAMZ National Dance Championships
The San Marcos High Marquettes Dance Force traveled to Las Vegas to compete in the February 23, JAMZ National Dance Championships. This is the first time that the Marquettes have competed with the JAMZ organization.
The 14-member varsity team also won two national titles: Varsity Jazz Dance and Varsity Pom Dance. The 13-member junior varsity team won two national titles: JV Jazz Dance and JV Pom Dance. The team returned to campus with banners, trophies, individual medals, and national champion jackets. As the reigning national champions the Marquettes receive an automatic bid to the 2010 nationals.
