Hensley Wins Elementary Spelling Bee for Third Year in a Row

After the last word was spelled correctly during a tense competition, sixth grader Quinn Hensley of Washington School in the Santa Barbara Elementary School District probably found the results assuasive as he captured top honors in the elementary division of the Santa Barbara County Spelling Bee on Thursday in the auditorium of the Santa Barbara County Education Office for the third year in a row.
The 2009 Elementary State Spelling Bee will be held May 16 at Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park.
