For the 20th year, local architects and artists will be on hand to work with youth in grades K-12 in Kids Draw Architecture sketch sessions. Sessions are free and drawing materials are provided. The sessions will take place on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm, April 18 at McKinley Elementary School and April 25 at La Cumbre Junior High. Some of the finished sketches will be included in the 2010 Kids Draw Architecture calendar.
Developed by the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara, the program was developed to heighten community awareness of the built environment by encouraging children to sketch local architectural landmarks. For more information, contact the foundation at 965-6307.
