Dos Pueblos Chargers Celebrate Scholar Athletes
The CIF Southern Section just released the team academic award winners for 2008-09. Academic team honors are bestowed upon the teams in the section with the highest collective GPAs. Dos Pueblos is proud to announce that of schools with enrollments of 1,500 students or more, the following Charger teams are Academic Team Champions: baseball (3.584 GPA), football (3.375 GPA), girls soccer (3.752 GPA), and boys track and field (3.378 GPA). These teams will be honored and awarded a banner at the CIF’s Academic Awards Ceremony at Angels Stadium on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 just prior to the Angels vs Tigers MLB game. Also worthy of mention, boys golf and softball, girls swimming, as well as boys volleyball ranked second; and girls volleyball ranked third.
