High School District Name Change
The board of education recently took action on the renaming of the high school district. Seeking a name that would convey inclusion of both junior high and high school students, the high school district is now the Santa Barbara Secondary School District. We will continue to refer to the combined elementary and secondary districts as the Santa Barbara School Districts but for all legal purposes and reporting (e.g., CBEDS data, state testing, property ownership, ballot initiatives), our grades 7-12 education system is the Santa Barbara Secondary School District.
