Peabody Celebrates Earth Day
Peabody Charter School celebrated Earth Day in a number of ways:
- Students dressed in blue and green to symbolize clean water and earth.
- Schoolwide, electricity was not used for one hour with a promise by students to do the same
at home tonight.
- There was a commitment of each classroom to do an outdoor learning activity today; this year’s
focus is “No Child Left Inside.”
- There was a school assembly about reuse, recycle, conserve, and compost.
- The school held a ribbon cutting for the new Exploration Center garden and a new name for
the garden as part of an Earth Day contest.
