San Marcos High’s Drum Line Takes Seventh Place in International Championship in Dayton
The San Marcos High School Percussive Theater, also known as the San Marcos Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble, traveled to Dayton, Ohio to participate in the Winter Guard International World Championships on April 14-19, along with 59 other high school drum lines in their division. The group earned the privilege of participating in this prestigious national competition by competing in major regional contests in Phoenix, Arizona and Union City, California. At World Championships, the ensemble took seventh place in their round in the Scholastic A division. Their 2009 production, entitled “Reflections,” was composed and arranged by Lozell Henderson.
