School Closures for May 8 and Other Fire-related Information

On Friday, May 8, the following 15 schools in the Santa Barbara School Districts will be closed due to the Jesusita Fire:

• Adams Elementary
• Cleveland Elementary
• Cesar Chavez Charter
• Franklin Elementary
• Open Alternative School
• Parma Children's Center
• Peabody Charter
• Roosevelt Elementary
• Santa Barbara Community Academy
• Home School Santa Barbara on the Monte Vista campus
• Community Day School
• La Colina Junior High
• La Cumbre Junior High
• Santa Barbara Junior High
• Santa Barbara High

All child development and after school programs on the sites just mentioned will also be closed.

All other schools in the Santa Barbara School Districts will be session tomorrow.

Santa Barbara High School is making every effort to have its prom as scheduled on Saturday, May 9. The location must still be determined. Watch the school's website (www.sbhsdons.org) tomorrow as the decision is expected to be posted by mid-day.

San Marcos High School's Performing Arts Department is performing MAN OF LA MANCHA tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday night at 7pm. The Performing Arts Department invites anyone who is evacuated to attend Man of La Mancha FREE if they come to the VIP entrance and identify themselves as an evacuee.
