Franklin Elementary School teacher Maria Salas was surprised this morning when OfficeMax representatives visited the school to inform her that she was selected as an Office Max “A Day Made Better” winner. “A Day Made Better” is derived from the company’s commitment to make at least one day better for teachers by providing them with essential classroom supplies and call public attention to the issue of teacher out-of-pocket spending for classroom supplies.
Maria is one of 1,000 teachers across the county who will receive $1,000 worth of classroom supplies. Teachers are nominated by their school and recipients receive this honor for their exceptional contributions as an educator.
