In honor of the memory of long time coach, teacher, and athletic director,
Scott O’Leary, who worked at Dos Pueblos High School for 34 years
and who touched countless lives with his ethos of hard work, discipline
and dedication to student athletics, the Goleta City Council proclaims
October 9, 2009 as Scott O’ Leary Day in the City of Goleta.
At 7:00 p.m. tomorrow, prior to the start of the varsity football game against Rio Mesa High School, a special tribute will take place to officially name the Scott O’Leary Stadium at Dos Pueblos High School. At half-time current and former varsity athletes will be invited to form a spirit tunnel on the field to encourage the team when the players return to the field from the locker room.
