Moliere’s “Scapino” coming to San Marcos High School

SMHS’s second fall show: Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale’s adaptation of Moliere’s Les Fourberies of Scapin, “Scapino.” This one-act version, adapted by Noyce Burleson, will play December 10-12 at 7pm, and December 13 at 2pm, in Room I-10. This knock-about comedy by the master of the French stage enjoyed long runs in both London and New York and is filled with laughs. “Scapino” will be directed by Mr. Levien, Sheltered Theatre Production teacher, with costume designs by Marian Azdril. Faculty assistance will be provided by Mrs. Bergstrom.

Acting in the show and performing production chores will be the entire class, including: Mousa Al Tayyeb, Yousef Al Tayyeb, Yarjaira Alarcon, Stephen Amspoker, Lily Aragon, Ana Cervantes, Kaelin Dietrich, Nicholas Ehlen, Magdalena Goma, Jouqueline Gonzalez, Gurleen Kaur, Eric Lazaro, Reza Ashourian, Jessica Martinez, Benjamin McLaughlin, Daira Ramos, Gladys Vargus Retiguin, Blair Rodriguez, Emily Rodriguez, Jatzibe Sandoval, Joel Schooler, Vincent Siefe, Roger Valenzuela, and Devyn Williams.

Tickets may be purchased either at the door or ahead of time (from students in the class or from the Business Office). Adults are $4; students are $2; and tickets are free with a Royal Card.
