Poogling: Internet safety seminar
The Internet is a phenomenal source of information and opportunities but it also presents risks, particularly for children. Internet safety is the subject of a free seminar this Thursday, January 28 at 7pm, at the Marjorie Luke Theatre at Santa Barbara Junior High.
Parents are encouraged to attend and learn what kids are really doing online and what parents can do to protect them from inappropriate and potentially unsafe conduct, contact, and content.
The presentation will cover topics such as social networking, cyberbullying, online predators, plagiarism and cheating, inappropriate websites, and the growing problems with mobile devices.
