Wellness with a Heart, a symposium on coordinating care for individuals with developmental disabilities

On February 12 and 13, 2010, there will be a symposium for health professionals, parents, providers and caregivers on coordinating care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Wellness with a Heart is sponsored by Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara. The symposium will be held in Burtness Auditorium, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Topics include coordinating case management for individuals with developmental disabilities with complex care needs; addressing medical and mental wellness challenges for individuals with developmental disabilities; impacts of nutrition and behavior; sleep in children with special needs; treatment advances in seizure management; adolescent and adult sexuality.
