Free talk by education reform advocate Geoffrey Canada on what we can do to help every child succeed

Geoffrey Canada, author of “Whatever It Takes” and creator of the Harlem Children’s Zone, a pioneering nonprofit organization that works to enhance the quality of life for children and families in some of New York City’s most devastated neighborhoods, will be speaking at the Marjorie Luke Theatre at Santa Barbara Junior High on Wednesday, February 17, at 8:00 p.m. The event is free.

Following his inspiring talk there will be a panel discussion with local leaders, including McKinley principal Emilio Handall.

Mr. Canada’s book will be available for purchase and signing.
