La Colina recognition at the Dos Pueblos Jazz Festival
The La Colina Junior High School Jazz Band took high honors at the Dos Pueblos High School Jazz Festival Saturday, March 6 in the Junior High Division, being awarded “Best Trumpet Section,” “Best Rhythm Section,” numerous individual soloist awards, and first place overall. Nathaniel Hodson, upright acoustic bass, an 8th grader, was awarded “Best Overall Junior High Soloist” for his outstanding performance. The La Colina Jazz Band is under the direction of Band Director Jason Nam.
