Members of US Air Force Band of the Golden West to perform at La Cumbre Junior High
The five-member Golden West Winds, based at Travis Air Force Base in San Jose, CA is the resident woodwind quintet of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West. This group of highly trained musicians has delighted numerous concert audiences throughout the western United States. The quintet’s performance/master class will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 18, in the La Cumbre Junior High auditorium. The quintet will work with sectionals at noon.
The versatile Golden West Winds perform a varied assortment of exciting chamber music, ranging from the works of baroque masters to the ragtimes of Scott Joplin. The Golden West Winds offers informative lecture/performance clinics to all levels of aspiring musicians. The Golden West Winds is featured on the recordings "Bayside Bravura" and "Wood 'n Brass."
