Two San Marcos students place in the Northside Optimists’ Oratorical Contest
Wednesday evening March 17, two San Marcos High School ninth-grade students participated in the Northside Optimists Oratorical Contest. The contest was held at Laguna Blanca School. There were eight competitors, three boys and five girls. San Marcos ninth-grader Zachary Sener took first place in the boy's contest and Melissa Marino took third place in the girl's contest. Zach now goes on to compete in San Luis Obispo for a possible $2,500.00 in scholarships.
