Board votes 4:1 to accept the Secondary District Honors Coursework Plan
The board of education approved a proposal that includes changing GATE course titles to Honors. The change does not eliminate the districts’ GATE Program. Adoption of the Secondary District Honors Coursework Plan at last night’s board meeting reflects that district’s commitment to providing an academic environment in which all students who meet prerequisite criteria have equal access to accelerated coursework. The plan, and related information, is posted on the districts’ web site.
