Life without television and other electronics? What would that be like? A number of students will find out beginning Sunday, April 18 through Saturday, April 24. For the last eight years, Roosevelt School has been participating in National TV Turnoff Week. Roosevelt is encouraging families to participate and enjoy spending quality time together. Sixth-grade teacher Wendi Ostroff says that about15 percent of Roosevelt’s population participates and the event generates great conversation about why it's meaningful to take some time to unplug the TV (and electronics) for a week.
