Students make a difference by raising money for relief efforts in Haiti
The results are in. Fourteen schools in the Santa Barbara School Districts raised $18,520.19 to support relief efforts in Haiti.
- Adams Elementary, $2,000
- Roosevelt Elementary, $1,546.28
- Monroe Elementary, $500
- Santa Barbara Community Academy, $441
- Harding Elementary, $1,793 plus $500 donation from Santa Barbara Bank and Trust
- Franklin Elementary, $1,295.68
- Washington Elementary, $1,787
- McKinley Elementary, $284
- La Colina Junior High, $2,744.23
- Santa Barbara Junior High, $2,367
- Goleta Valley Junior High, $1,700
- Dos Pueblos High School Leadership Class, $612
- La Cuesta, $100
- San Marcos High, $850
Recipients of the students’ efforts are:
- Direct Relief International, $14,670.19
- Hands and Feet, $850
