At at 10:00 a.m. assembly this Friday, April 30, Adams Elementary will be launching its food scrap recycling effort, appropriately enough on Arbor Day. Principal Amy Alzina is expecting Mayor Schneider and possibly Congresswoman Lois Capps to be in attendance. Adams School students will begin composting efforts during their 11:30-1:00 lunch period. With the new initiative to conserve, Adams families are being asked to participate in a “Pack It In/Pack It Out!” campaign whereby juice boxes, yogurt cups, plastic bags, etc. packed in school lunches return home in their emptied state.
