Board decision on proposed Adelante Charter School
At last night’s board meeting, the board granted conditional approval to the Adelante Charter School. There are conditions the charter has already met and other conditions that must be met by June 30, 2010. The school is expected to open August 23, 2010. This is a new charter school and would effectively close César Estrada Chávez Dual Language Immersion Charter School. Adelante Charter School organizers are developing a two-way immersion, 90/10 model for bilingual education.
