Peabody Charter’s Delaney Smith takes Fourth Place at State Spelling Bee
Peabody Charter’s sixth-grader Delaney Smith took Fourth Place in the California Elementary Spelling Bee Championship on May 15 at Sonoma State University. The California State Elementary Spelling Bee Championship is coordinated by the Sonoma County Office of Education and all 58 California counties are invited to participate. The event is open to two grade 4-6 students from each county who have been certified as county champions by their county superintendent of schools, or designee.
