Summer Food Program to provide free lunch for children
The Santa Barbara School Districts’ Nutrition Services Department received federal funds for the Summer Food Program. All children 18 years or younger can enjoy a free lunch from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 7 until August 20. The only day the program will be closed is July 5. The four school cafeterias serving delicious, home-cooked free lunches are:
- Franklin Elementary
- Santa Barbara Junior High
- McKinley Elementary
- La Cumbre Junior High
Nutrition Services Director Nancy Weiss invites your children and their friends, 18 years or younger, to enjoy a free lunch throughout the summer. If you have questions, call (805) 963-4338, ext. 6387.
