Back-to-School Night 2010 starts this week in the Santa Barbara Elementary School District

There are 180 days in the school year, and one of the first, important opportunities for parents to participate in their child’s academic experience is at Back-to-School Night. At that event, parents visit their child’s learning environment; meet the principal, teachers, and other staff members; and pick up valuable information about curriculum and expectations. At Back-to-School Night, parents have the chance to connect to their child’s classroom or school when they sign up for volunteer activities and contribute their talents and commitment to the school community. Following is the Back-to-School Night calendar for the elementary district.

• Adams Elementary School: September 2, 5:30 pm
• Adelante Charter School: September 2, 5:00 pm (K); 6:15 pm (1-6)
• Franklin Elementary School: September 1, 6:00 pm
• Harding Elementary School: September 1, 5:30 pm
• McKinley Elementary School: August 31, 6:00 pm
• Monroe Elementary School: September 2, 6:30 pm
• Open Alternative School: September 23, 6:00 pm
• Peabody Charter School: September 23, 6:00 pm
• Roosevelt Elementary School: September 2, 6:30 pm
