Investment Matters, an update on parcel tax Measure H and Measure I
The September issue of Investment Matters is now posted on our web site. It summarizes the parcel tax Measure H and Measure I expenditures for 2009-10. The measures were approved by the voters on November 4, 2008 to benefit the Santa Barbara Elementary and Secondary School Districts. Measure H funds are being used to supplement math, science, and technology education; music, arts, and theatre programs at the junior high and high school levels; foreign language at the secondary level; and restore ninth-grade math class sizes.
In the elementary district, Measure I funds are being used to supplement math, science, and technology education as well as offer classroom music programs for students in grades K-6.
