Dos Pueblos students Jake Moghtader, Kelvin Noronha, and Nikhil Shinday (Team EDV Technologies) were named grand prize winners of the DASH+ contest, which challenged teams from across the nation to design, describe, and pitch the dashboard of the future. The students went to Detroit for a exciting VIP experience and were recognized as champions for the next generation of fuel-efficient drivers and received a trophy for their efforts.
As national high school winners of the DASH+ competition, the three students were invited by the X Prize Foundation to attend yesterday’s Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize award ceremony in Washington, D.C. At that event, three teams from Virginia, North Carolina, and Switzerland received a total of $10million for their energy-efficient vehicles.
