Set in the 1930s, the plot centers on the Haresfords, an aristocratic family that seeks the legitimate heir to the title of Earl of Hareford. Seems that the heir turns out to be Bill Snibson, a Cockney, who is not quite what the family expected. How will the new Earl of Haresford, and his Cockney girlfriend Sally Smith, fit into British high society? You will need to see ME AND MY GIRL to find out if Bill and Sally turn out to be “fit and proper.”
