AVID Senior Celebration’s Class Keynote Speaker Remarks
Monday’s Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Senior Celebration was a big success. Following a stirring keynote presentation by former Dos Pueblos student and soon-to-be UCSB graduate student Nicolas Mitchell Ruvalcaba, 90 students from Dos Pueblos, San Marcos, and Santa Barbara high schools were individually recognized. Each school had a class keynote speaker: Troy Navales (Dos Pueblos), Monica Herrera (San Marcos), and Thalia Chavez (Santa Barbara). Their keynote remarks are posted on the districts’ web site.
