Principal Ronzone Kissed a Pig

The jogathon results are now in. Roosevelt Elementary School students received the results of the annual Rose Run jogathon and the amount did indeed surpass last year’s $67,000. With the help of businesses, parents, and the children’s fundraisers, the students raised a whopping $107,689! Keeping her promise to kiss a pig if the students exceeded last year’s jogathon, this afternoon principal Donna Ronzone put on fresh lipstick and followed through on her promise. She puckered up and kissed Daisy, a potbellied pig from Ojai Pig Rescue, a pig sanctuary. Daisy gamely cooperated during the smooch. Each Roosevelt teacher followed the principal’s lead and gently kissed Daisy to the delight of 550 students.
