Adams Elementary School’s Focus on Summer Reading

This summer has been filled with lots of summer reading by the students who attended Adams School’s Wednesday and Saturday Accelerated Reader library program.

Principal Amy Alzina says, “Over the summer months to date, we have had around 60 students read over 600 Accelerated Reader books and quizzes. The program is for all Adams Elementary students in grades K-6. It is located in the Adams library and is held every Wednesday, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., and Saturday, from 9:00-10:30 and 1:00-2:30 p.m.” The program began Wednesday, June 13, and will run through Saturday, August 18. Students earn Adams Tigers prizes for reading and taking Accelerated Reader quizzes.

Thank you Donna Nelson, Adams School’s Montessori teacher, for coordinating the program.
