Seventy San Marcos High School students served as Back-To-School Night translators at Adams, McKinley, Monroe, Washington, and Harding elementary schools. The students were distributed across all five elementary campuses, providing interpretation services from English to Spanish.
Supporting the student efforts were adults Teresa Lewis, Clara Espino, Alex Manriquez, and Kathy Castaneda. Additionally, Aaron Solis provided each student volunteer with a school Royal Pride or Crew red t-shirt. The students wore their school attire with pride.
The student team will again provide Back-To-School Night translation services on September 13, when they head to La Colina and La Cumbre junior high schools.
Way to go Royals!
