Strategic Directions and Goals

STRATEGIC DIRECTION 1: ACHIEVE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

All students in the Districts will meet or exceed local, state, and national standards, and will meet all twelfth grade exit standards in core academic subjects upon graduation. The Districts will provide the programs and support necessary for students to meet these standards.

STRATEGIC GOALS:

  1. Maximize student achievement.
    • Establish rigorous content and performance standards to include exit standards.
    • Match assessment strategies to content and performance standards.
    • Recognize, honor and celebrate student achievement.
  2. Identify effective strategies that result in student achievement of standards.
    • Provide comprehensive professional development programs linked to student achievement.
    • Increase opportunities for teachers to share best practices.
    • Provide technical and logistical support to teachers in developing and using assessments.
    • Improve access to and analysis of student data from school sites in order to gain meaningful information and enhance the quality of decision-making.
